Westland Whirlwind HAR.1 (XA870 ‘911’). Displayed in the colour and markings worn in October 1955 when XA870 was aboard HMS Protector, the Royal Navy's Ice Patrol Ship transiting to Antartica. It is believed XA870 was the first helicopter to have landed on the Antarctic continent
