2024 ‑ Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), RAF Fairford, United Kingdom.

The Royal International Air Tattoo is the world's largest military airshow, held annually in July usually at RAF Fairford in Gloucester, England, in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The event has been held at Fairford since 1985 and has taken place every two years until it became an annual airshow from 1993.

RIAT 2024 was staged from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July. I attended the show on Sunday 21st.

The theme for RIAT 2024 was the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the F‑16 Fighting Falcon's first flight. The focal point of the airshow was a static line‑up of F‑16's from around the world and flying demonstrations of the aircraft. RIAT 2024 also commemorated the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), demonstrating the importance of the alliance since its formation in April 1949. The event also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and the RCAF demonstration team celebrated by attending with their CF‑188 Hornet adorned with a special anniversary livery.
